Here are results from calculations of deposition of nitrogen to selected natural areas for the year 2004.
A portion of the deposition occurs in the form of dry deposition of ammonia. Carried out detailed calculations for this part using model OML-DEP. The model calculates the deposition of ammonia to an area at 16 km x 16 km around the selected scenery area. The sources of ammonia emissions are largely local agriculture.
The spatial resolution in connection with calculations is on 400 m x 400 m.
Inputs to the model are inter alia: detailed emission inventories with a spatial resolution of 100 m x 100 m. in addition, the model coupled to regional-scale models, which supplies OML-DEP with information about "background level" of ammonia. Background contribution includes ammonia from sources outside the field of 16 km x 16 km.
For 2004 is the calculations made for the areas set out in the table below.
You can view detailed maps of the deposition for these selected areas. The cards are assembled into a document in pdf format (NB! file is very large, about. 6 MB)
Note that the deposition derived from ammonia as shown on the maps represent only a small part of the total nitrogen-depositon. To find the total nitrogen deposition , it showed contributions from ammonia are added together with other contributions. These other contributions relates to deposition of non local nitrogen components and can again be divided in two parts: dry-deposition of nitrogen feisty and particle bound nitrogen and wet deposition of nitrogen. The table below gives an overview of the range of the 3 contributions.
Nitrogen-deposition (kg N/ha) to selected Danish sites and natural habitats intended for 2004. The values indicate the average deposition to the 400 m x 400 m field, located centrally in the natural area. The table indicates dry-deposition of ammonia, the other dry-deposition and wet deposition. The specified station numbers refers to station number in the terrestrial part of NOVANA. Other dry-deposition and wet deposition is calculated with DEEM. | |||||
