Landscapes provide habitats for animal and plant species. Historically, agricultural intensification has led to a severe decline of natural and semi-natural habitats and consequently to a biodiversity decrease. Due to continued urbanisation and development of infrastructure as well as a continued agricultural intensification, in a Danish context, there is a large pressure on land resources.
