Data for land cover and land use in the late 1880s are the results from a pilot study on automated production of digital geodata from historical map sheets and is financed by the 15. Juni Foundation. The data are based on the “Høje Målebordsblade”. The automated production of digital geodata is based on an combination of object-based image analysis, colour segmentation, vector GIS operations and machine learning methods. The data are open access. Applied methods and data are documented in:
