My PhD project focuses on improving the representation of vegetation dynamics and climate feedbacks in high latitude regions in the global land surface model ORCHIDEE. More specifically, I am working on introducing Arctic/Boreal shrubs as new plant functional types into the model, based on a wide range of observational data from across the tundra region.
