Welcome to Ronja Kelch
New PhD Student at ATMO from 1 April 2026.
Hej everyone,
My name is Ronja, and I come from Berlin, Germany. I am very excited to start my PhD project on “Studying atmospheric ammonia and nitrogen deposition through model development and satellite data integration” on April 1st. I will be working in the Section for Atmospheric Emissions & Modelling (ATMO) and my supervisors will be Camilla Geels and Lise Marie Frohn Rasmussen.
I completed my Master’s degree in Global Change Geography at Humboldt University in Berlin, where I focused on remote sensing and developed a strong interest in environmental transformation. Previously, I worked as a student assistant at the ZALF Institute in Germany (Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research), where I was part of the remote sensing working group.
I first moved to Copenhagen in 2023 for an exchange semester and decided to stay long-term. Outside of work, I enjoy swimming, running, yoga and knitting and I am taking Danish classes.
I am very much looking forward to getting to know everyone and starting with the project!
