Abstract: “Grøn Vækst” aims to significantly reduce the harmful effects of pesticides through a combination of choice of crops, least critical pesticides, reduced doses, alternative treatment methods and use of MVB systems. Furthermore pests must be monitored and notified to a greater extent. This calls for more integrated and easy to use decision support systems that include stochastic prediction of pest population growth, economic evaluations, inclusion of effect on the environment, the climate and alternative treatment methods. Choice of treatment method depends on:

Stochastic model for early warning that predicts probability and extent of pest attack for specific crops

Calculation of agricultural economic parameters (yield increase: merudbytte) and the dependence on treatment method

Calculation of environmental indicators and their dependence on treatment methods.
