ENVS PhD student from Ecuador wins price at “HARMO19” in Bruges, Belgium.
At the “19th International Conference on Harmonisation within Atmospheric Dispersion Modelling for Regulatory Purposes”, or short HARMO19, conducted in the beginning of June 2019 in Bruges, Belgium and organized by VITO, the price for the best poster was awarded to Victor Valencia for the poster with the title “Modelling urban background air pollution in Quito, Ecuador”.
The very proud PhD student says: “I was very surprised and very honored. Some of the tricks were to reduce the amount of text and graphics substantially. Use process flowchart to explain the steps of the research and get feedback from people not aware of my research”.
Victor is working at the Departement of Environmetal Science, Aarhus University on a PhD project titled “Spatial modelling of urban growth and its influence on air pollution: Evaluation of vertical versus horizontal growth of the city of Quito” supervised by Gregor Levin, Ole Hertel and Matthias Ketzel.
