Welcome to Mehrnoosh Chaabi
New PhD.-student in MITO from 1 May 2026
My name is Mehrnoosh Chaabi, and I am an analytical chemist from Iran. I completed my Master’s degree in Applied Chemistry Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), where I focused on metabolomics research and also the fate of pesticide residues in cereals.
Previously, I worked as an analytical laboratory technician at a power plant in Iran, where I was involved in industrial and environmental analyses of water, gas, and oil samples. In addition, I worked as a laboratory assistant at DTU, contributing to DTU/EU Openscreen Project.
I recently started my PhD project on “Mapping Micropollutant Responses and Biotransformation Pathways Using Mass Spectrometry Imaging,” and I am very excited about this journey. I will be working with the Environmental Chemistry and Toxicology section (MITO) under the supervision of Prasad Babanrao Phapale and Kai Bester.
I look forward to collaborating with everyone and contributing to this exciting research project.
Best,
Mehrnoosh
