I am interested in atmospheric aerosols, tiny particles that have a disproportionately large influence on radiation and climate. I study aerosols using field experiments, focusing on their size distribution, hygroscopicity, chemical composition, and optical properties. I am particularly interested in the interactions between aerosols and clouds, especially in the polar regions, which are highly vulnerable to climate change.
