I am a postdoctoral researcher specializing in in remote sensing and AI applications for environmental monitoring. My academic journey began in Senegal, where I obtained an engineering degree in Electronics and Telecommunications and later completed a PhD in Applied Physics. Currently based at Aarhus University, I develop advanced AI techniques to analyze satellite data, with a focus on sustainable urban development and waste management trends.
I teach courses in image processing, computer vision, signal theory, and telecommunications at universities across Senegal. I also supervise Master's and PhD students in applied physics and AI for remote sensing, focusing on real-world applications in urban and environmental contexts.
I collaborate with researchers from INSA Rennes (France) and Gaston Berger University (Senegal). My work involves joint PhD supervision, interdisciplinary research in AI and geospatial analysis, and cross-border projects focused on sustainable urban development in Africa.
