My research focuses on DNA/RNA sequencing and analysis to understand evolutionary events, from community structure changes to the emergence of new functions. Trained in Evolutionary Genomics and Molecular Microbial Ecology, I utilize high-throughput sequencing techniques across various organisms and environments and I aim to resolve phylogenies, understand taxa evolution, unique adaptations, and novel metabolic pathways. I am also interested in data management and automation and I lead the Bioinformatics Group at AU-ENVS.
