As a benthic ecologist, ROV pilot and scientific scuba diver a have a keen interest in investigating how multiple environmental stressors shape benthic communities and function across various temporal and spatial scales. My research areas have focused on artifical and restoration reefs, offshore windfarm impacts, Antarctic benthic community and disturbance ecology.
Within consultancy my roles have encompassed field surveys and anaylsis of Environmental Impact Assessments on both offshore and coastal developments, following Before-After-Impact-Control methodolgies. As well as habitat mapping, biodiversity surveys and rare species surveys. Specialist surveys included: Seagrass survey, new shipwreck investigation and mooring inspections.
