New four-year framework agreement with the Ministry of Foods, Agriculture and Fisheries of Denmark

The frame for the department authority tasks are in place for the next four years.

In 2016, the University and the Ministry of Foods, Agriculture and Fisheries of Denmark (MFVM) renegotiated the framework agreement for the policy-based scientific advice to the authorities.
The agreement has now been signed, and we are pleased to embark on a four-year period.

The Framework Agreement between the AU and the MFVM defines the general framework for the regulatory functions of the AU to solve in the next four years.

It has a total extent of about 380 million DKK annually. The Dep of Environmental Science together with Dep of Bioscience has tasks within the six sub agreements with the main focus in two agreements: Air Emissions and Risk and Performance Agreement; and Nature and Water Agreement, which have a total extent of approximately 113 million DKK annually. The tasks and the economy around them are virtually unchanged. However, the area environmental economy is in a separate framework agreement with KU after we won the tender in 2015-2016.

During the course of the negotiations there have been many discussions on disclosure and confidentiality. Read more in AU's news where you can also get an overview of the six performance agreements, the framework agreement altogether covers.
