Professor Mette Termansen, ENVS, has been appointed as member of the National Bio Economy Panel (Det Nationale Bioøkonomi-panel), recently created by the Danish government. In this forum scientists, companies and organizations will present concrete ideas and offer counseling on how to turn Denmark into a growth center for bio economy; i.e., how to use waste products and crops, both new and old, in new ways.

The panel will also suggest how to promote cheaper and more sustainable biomass. In addition, the panel will ensure that Denmark better employs the possibilities presented by European structural funds regarding investments in profitable sustainable biomass.
